Ms. Mary Prevo Shelton of Hueytown, Al. passed on February 28, 2019. Mary was born in Marion, Al. and resided in Birmingham, Al. She was a 1965 graduate of Wenonah High School, a 1969 graduate of Miles College and a 1974 graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She was a faithful member of Christian Union Community Church and Jesus' Revival House. She was the founder of Sparkles of Ebony Social and Savings Club and a member for over fifty years. Mary retired from the Birmingham Public School System as an Educator after thirty years of service. She also taught in the Dallas County School System. Mary's passion was her family, friends and her love of children. She was a warm, generous and loving person who never met a stranger. Funeral service Saturday, March 9th at 11:00 AM from South Park Baptist Church, 2341 – Pearson Avenue SW. with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
