Albert H Felder Sr

 Rev. Dr. Albert Horace Felder, Sr., age 84, of Hoover, passed away on November 11, 2009. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was a Minister of the Gospel and was a member of 46th Street Baptist Church, Pastor of First Missionary Baptist, Warrior, built current sanctuary and Pastor Emeritus of Union Bethel Christian Church, built current sanctuary of McCombs Chapel A.M.E. Zion, Pastor of St. John A.M.E. Zion Church, Bradford, Chaplain Baptist Princeton Hospital and member of St. Luke A.M.E. Zion, Birmingham. He retired from the Jefferson County School System after 28 years of service. During that time he served as Dean of Students, Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College; Principal, Zinnerman Elementary, Addison Elementary and Ketona Elementary; Assistant Principal, Minor High School, Music Director, Wenonah High School and Piano Teacher. Rev. Dr. Felder received a B.A. in Music from Fisk University, a B.A. P. Th. from Southeastern Bible College; additional studies at Howard University and Booker T. Washington Business College; Master of Ed and Admin. Cert., Tuskegee University, Master of Theological Studies, Samford University; and Honorary Doctorate, Birmingham Easonian Baptist College. He was the composer of the A.H. Parker High School Class of 1943 Song Fisk Jubilee Singer; involved in radio ministry; and Missionary Service in Honduras 1989, Japan 1992, Kenya, Africa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lera Trammell Felder; and father, Anderson Henry Felder. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Wiley Felder; daughters, Valencia Callens (friend, Michael), Jacqueline Hill, Stella White (Andrew), Carolyn Coats (Leandrew), Ruby Gail Gilkey (William); sons, Albert H. Felder, Jr. (Selena), William Felder, Sr. (Gwendolyn); sister, Lois Felder Jones (Riley, Sr.); brothers, Willie W. Felder (Mable), Algie A. Felder (Ruth), Alphonsa F. Felder (Patricia); in-laws, George Wiley, Jr. (Aurelia), Parthenia Sanders, Andra Wiley (Denise); 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Union Bethel Christian Church, 1912 - 14th Street S.W. with entombment in Zion Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Rev.
