UPDATE:
On October 17, 2011, we the committee members of the Wenonah High School Class of 1967, mailed out approximately one hundred and thirty (130) letters requesting interest, intent, and consideration for a financial donation to assist us in finalizing plans for a 45th year reunion event to be held at The Embassy Suites in Hoover AL 35244 during the week-end of August 31-September 2, 2012.
It is with deep regret that we must inform you that all plans to hold our forty fifth (45th) Wenonah High School Class of 1967 reunion event have been canceled due to low response and low financial participation.
Unfortunately, the reunion committee will have to absorb the financial loss of the initial $300.00 deposit that was used to reserve the banquet room and other space for the event since this amount was understood to be non-refundable.
At this time, we would like to thank all of you who took the time to respond to our request with a "Yes" or "No" and a "GREAT" thank you to all who donated seed money to assist in trying to meet the December 1, 2011 deadline for payment of the remaining reservation balance to the Embassy Suites Hotel.
We will miss seeing all of you this year and wish for you and your families much love, happiness, good health, and fun times.
For those who graciously responded with seed money, as we promised in our original letter, your refund money order has been mailed to you.
Thank you again for all of the beautiful memories from all of the Great reunions in the past.
