Let the memory of Demetrice be with us forever.

A precocious youngster, Jackson became a master brick mason by the age of 10, learning the trade alongside his brothers from their father.  The Jackson family has left it's fingerprint on several of Birmingham's landscape and neighborhoods.

Affectionately known to his teammates as "Sweet Stan" Jackson had the rare distinction of playing every defensive snap during his Hall of Fame tenure.

Following his college career, Jackson was invited to camp with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets of the NFL, and found a home at Legion Field with the Alabama Vulcans.

Jackson is survived by his sons Demetrice (Tracy) Dante (Erin) Christopher, and daughters Demesha (Milton) and Mary Elizabeth.  Grandchildren Trezmond, Brittany, Jordan Demetrice, Dante, Eric, Christian Isaiah, Khloe, Chrishawn, and Nikki.
