ALVIN EUGENE GATSON, SR.,  Age 60 of Birmingham made his transition on Wednesday (June 6, 2012). He was a resident of Jefferson County, member of Greater Saint John Baptist Church Powderly, 1970 Graduate of Wenonah High School and attended Lawson State Community College. Service of memory will be Wednesday at 12 Noon at the church, Pastor John Henry Williams will officiate, with interment in Valhalla Cemetery. His Loving Survivors are: Devoted Wife; Gwendolyn Gatson, Children; Alvin, Jr., Sherniko and Shawandra Gatson, Brother and Sisters; Harold (Saundra) Gatson, Sr., Rosa Lampkin, Mary Horton and Beulah Evans.
