Priscilla Blackmon

Priscilla Blackmon, age 67 of Bessemer, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2019. Born on January 31, 1952, she was one of six children born to Gilbert and Suprena Blackmon, Sr. She graduated Wenonah High and received a Business Degree from Booker T. Washington Business School before joining the team at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama where she worked until retirement. A GOD fearing Christian, she was a member of Old St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Bessemer, AL where she served under the leadership of Rev. Alfonza January. She was a family woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt, assuming the role of a motherly figure and caretaker to her nephew Jason Cole after the death of her sister, Melissa Ann Cole. She will be missed by all who knew her. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Suprena Blackmon, Sr. and one sister, Melissa Ann Cole. She leaves to cherish her memories: three brothers, Timothy Blackmon, Charlie (Deborah) Blackmon and Gilbert (Maxine young) Blackmon, Jr. one sister, Jeanette Blackmon; 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews and many other relatives, friends and church members. Funeral Services will be held on Friday. February 15, 2019 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL 35228.
