He was lifelong resident of the Muscoda Community of Bessemer and graduate of Wenonah High School, Class of 1970. Zion, as was his family before him, was devoted to New Magnolia AME Church. He served in the U.S. Army and earned an Honorable Discharge, enjoyed several genres of music and worked as a Security Guard for many years.
