Herman "Jefferson" Cohill

Mr. Herman "Jefferson" COHILL,  - Age 57, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010. Family hour 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., Flinr MI, with funeral service commencing at 11:30 a.m., Min. Anthony Floyd officiating, Bishop Odis A. Floyd, Host Pastor. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Cohill will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 Noon-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Herman Cohill was born May 8, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Mary Ruth Miller and James Cohill. Herman was a member of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Wenonah High School. Herman then went to serve his country in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. He was also a member of Local 5960 in Lake Orion, MI. Mr. Herman Cohill leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Gloria A. Cohill; 2 daughters, Davina N. Cohill and LaToria Y. Cohill; son, Herman J. Cohill, all of Flint; mother, Mary Ruth (David) Miller of Birmingham, AL; father, James Cohill of Detroit, MI; sister, Monica Hatcher of Birmingham, AL; 2 brothers, Timothy (Clarissa) Cohill of Birmingham, AL and Mark (Telicia) Zanders, of Detroit, MI; aunts, Annie (Willie) Lomax and Vivian (Mr. D.) Dunlap, all of Grand Blanc, MI; uncle, Pete (Alice) Petty of Bidwell, OH; 4 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Cohill was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Petty; grandfather, Theodore Cohill; sister, Constance Y. Cohill; 3 aunts; 2 uncles and 1 brother-in-law. The family would like to express special thanks to Bishop Odis A. Floyd, Min. Anthony Floyd, New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church family and Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Obituary
