Angela Jeter (Thompson)

ANGELA JETER THOMPSON,  December 11, 1953 - January 20, 2012. Angela graduated from Wenonah High School in 1971 and went on to attend Brandeis University. After graduation, she moved to NYC and began her professional career, but was led by her passion for education to teaching for the NYC Department of Education. Her eighteen year career in education started with teaching and later to a Principal position. She earned Master's Degrees from both Pace and Adelphi Universities and a Theology Degree from Oral Roberts University. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Herman Jeter and Anita DeLemus Jeter and sister, Melanie Jeter. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Thompson; brothers, William "Bill" Jeter and Victor Jeter; sisters, Cynthia Jeter, Valerie Jeter Campbell and Bridgette Jeter. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
