She was a native of the Riley Community and 1971 graduate of Wenonah High School. "Peter Rabbit" completed Knoxville College and became of Sister of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at UAB. She was employed as an Internal Auditor at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. While residing in Knoxville, she was active with the Choir at Mt. Calvary Baptist. She was widow of Mr. Robert A. Washington and leaves fond memories with daughters, Courtney Washington and Cristen (Carlton) Battle; mother, Elizabeth Ward Bonham; brother, Rodney (Monika) Bonham. Homegoing Hour is Noon Sunday at Mt. Zion, 3428 Maple Avenue SW, Birmingham 35221. Inhumation follows at Elmwood. Calling Hours at Johnson Memorial, Bessemer, Saturday Noon until 8:00.
