age 60, of Birmingham, passed away Sat. May 3rd . Graduate of Wenonah High School, Class of 1972, where she was Homecoming Queen and a graduate of Miles College, Class of 1979. Survivors are her sons, Rodney (Kimberly) and Alfred (Shun) Riggins; sisters, Mary Powell, Bobbie (Edward) Mason, Prudeen (Frank) Purifoy, Carol White and Helen Henderson; brothers, Cornell Jr., Alfred, Donald and Reginald (Bridgett) Steele; grandchildren, Colby, Raqir, Ryonna, Reagan, Raquel and Khloe. I will miss Gwen. When she found out that Wenonah Cafe was my restaurant she came to visit a few times. I wish we had not let so many years pass before seeing each other. She was always easy going and fun to be around!!! I was excited to learn she had accepted the call to carry the Word of God!!
