age 59 of Brighton, AL transitioned to Glory on September 19, 2013 surrounded by family. Eldest child of the late Charlie, Sr. and Carrie Shufford Ogletree, he was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, Brighton and the Wenonah High School graduating class of 1973. He attended Lawson State Community College. An award winning salesman, Charlie sold home goods at Alabama Home Supply, Appliance Distributors Warehouse and Handy TV prior to selling cars in the Birmingham community. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Christopher and infant grandchildren Rylee and Micah. He will forever live in the heart of his wife Phyllis Downs Ogletree; daughters: Cristi Adrienne, Biloxi, MS, Marianne Laurette, Fairfield, AL; sisters and brothers: Kathryn (Robert), Shavon Sykes, Stanley (Gail), Andrew, and Gregory (Sylvia); many loving nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles: Naomi Deas, Hugh Bruce Shufford (Johnnie Mae), Dr. Earl Shufford (Jackie), Frances Brown, Willie Nell Shufford, Marie Ann Johnson, and Glenzine Parham; a large extended family and lifelong true friends. Viewing will be held 1PM to 9PM on Friday September 27 at Bushelon. His life will be celebrated September 28, 2013 at 11AM in the Chapel of Bushelon Funeral Home 800 14th Street, Birmingham, AL 35211.
