RODNEY E. RUDOLPH, age 54, class of 1973, of Birmingham, died Sunday, February 21, 2010. Survivors include wife, Kennie Diane Rudolph; daughter, Dr. Brandi J. Rudolph; sons, C. Maurice Green (Erica) and Gerald Green (Priscilla); sisters, Pamela Rudolph and Rosalind Young; two grandchildren; other family members and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Tarpley City, 3320 Willard Avenue SW, Birmingham 35211 with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. TOLLING OF THE CHURCH BELLS
DURING OUR ERA AT MT OLIVE B/CHURCH, THE CHURCH BELLS WOULD RING WHEN SOMEONE PASSED AWAY. THE SOUNDS WOULD BE HEARD THROUGHOUT THE NEIGHBORING AREAS.
I AM SAD TO HEAR THAT THE TOLLING OF THE BELLS WERE FOR RODNEY.
I HOPE THAT THE CHURCH BELLS WILL RING FOR HIS SPIRIT AS THE LIVING DEAD WILL MAINTAIN A FORM OF LIFE AFTER DEATH.

What a show of love for Rodney's family & our Classmates on Thursday night with Hot Fish, Chicken Wings & Toss Salad from the Class '73 and desserts, fruit, and Tea from a few Bandmembers for the Tuba Player..The Dragons Class '73 helped fill Mt. Olive to its capacity.
What a Celebration!
