GREGORY STOKES, SR., Class of 1975. Greg was born November 11, 1956 to Lucy Stokes and the late Willie Stokes. He married Lenora Stokes, they later disjoined but remained close friends. Gregory passed away peacefully on May 30, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother an one sister. Left to cherish his memory are five children, Gregory, Jr., LaQuita, Corey, LaCreesha and LaQuinnda Stokes; three grandchildren and five brothers, all of Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Galilee Baptist Church, 3753 Carver Avenue SW, Birmingham, AL 35221, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
