Gloria Jean Rankins McCray MCCRAY, GLORIA JEAN RANKINS, of Birmingham, AL, passed away January 22, 2009. She was a caregiver at Blackwell's Way. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church, Birmingham. She was educated in the Birmingham City Schools and graduated from Lawson State College. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. McCray; son, DeCarlos R. Rankins; two step-sons, Robert Jr. and Che'Gewvara McCray; mother, Lizzie Shepard; mother-in-law, Gerra Sumpter; five sisters, Marleen Rankins, Vickie Henderson, Patricia Smith, Anita Gulley, and Tracy Hunter of Clarksville, TN; brother, Darryl Fann; grandchild, DeCarlos Rankins; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 11AM at Mt. Canaan Full Gospel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Pastor Willie B. O'Neal officiating.
