WHITELY, LEON I. "LEO", SR., age 51, of Birmingham, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Hillman Station. He is survived by his wife, Vera Whitely; two sons, Brian (Marquiscia) Williams and Leon Whitely, Jr.; five sisters, three brothers, and one grand-daughter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 12 noon at the church, Rev. Dr. Edward E. Rodgers, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
