June Spencer (Fowler-Schivally) - Class Of 1974

MRS. JUNE ELAINE "LAINE" SPENCER FOWLER-SCIVALLY, age 53, of Nashville, TN, died December 24, 2009. She was a retired Social Worker. She was a member of Bryant Chapel A.M.E. Church of Birmingham. She attended the First Community Baptist Church in Nashville. She received her high school diploma at Wenonah High School in 1974. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Work from Tennesseee State University in 1997, and her Master's of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1998. She was employed at the Centerstone Mental Health Facility in Nashville, Tennessee. She received special honors from the friendship Home Health Care, Inc. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Douglas Spencer. Survivors include loving and devoted husband, Frazier Scivally of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Ms. Toni Fowler and Ms. Melaine Fowler (Quintan Collins) both of Nashville, TN; mother, Mrs. Odell Spencer of Birmingham; sister, Ms. Diane Spencer of Helena, AL; two brothers, Alfred (Valerie) Spencer and Eric (Jacqueline) Spencer both of Birmingham; grandchildren, Elandra Hawkins, Jamya Fowler, Javonna Maye and Jamierah Williams; special friends, Mary Lewis of Atlanta, Melvin Fowler of Birmingham, Martha Jackson of Sacramento, California; and the Memphis Families. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Bryant Chapel A.M.E. Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Damien Littlejohn, Pastor officiating.
