Jawanna Kennedy (Ward) - Class Of 1975

 JAWANNA KENNEDY WARD, 55, exchanged life for eternity on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She confessed Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church Roosevelt. A life long resident of Birmingham, AL, Jawanna was a 1975 graduate of Wenonah High School. Jawanna was a loyal, hardworking employee of UAB Hospital where she retied after twenty-five years. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Kennedy, Sr. Her life and memories will be cherished by: a loving husband, Benjamin C. Ward; two very loving sons, her oldest Brian A. Pernell and her youngest son, Darrian J. Ward; a loving mother, Gladys Kennedy; four siblings, Eugene Jr., Michael, Cheryl, and Sonya; a grandchild and niece very close to her heart, Kelis and Auria; nieces and nephews, Brittany, DeMeco, Milton and Tavares; a special life long friend, Diane Lewis and a host of other family and friends. Public visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. at Chambers Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church Roosevelt. Mrs. Ward will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Gardens.
