Charlotte Landreth (Price)

Feb. 20, 1941 - Feb. 22, 2015 Charlotte Price, Teacher, of Homewood, Alabama, passed away in the home of her daughter on February 22, 2015. Born Charlotte Annette Landreth on February 20, 1941 in Pleasant Grove, Alabama, Charlotte attended Judson College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. With a heart for serving children, she taught in the Birmingham City School System for more than a decade. After retiring from public education, she combined her passion for music and her gift of developing children to teach piano in her community. She loved to celebrate her students' successes as if they were her own children. A longtime member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Charlotte was known for her unconditional Christ-like love of her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Her laugh was contagious and she loved music, movies, sweets, and things that sparkled. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lottie Landreth and a brother, Chuck Landreth, She is survived by her three children, William Stewart Price, Jr (Laura) of Powder Springs, GA, Daniel Ryan Price (Shannon) of Brentwood, TN, and Amy Price Martin (Kaine) of Alabaster, AL; her eight grandchildren, Emma Kathryn Price, Allison Claire Price, and Eryn Paige Price of Powder Springs, GA; Kaleb Price Martin, Jonah James Martin, and Elijah Charles Martin of Alabaster, AL; and Eleanor Kathryn Price and Arden Grace Price of Brentwood, TN; a sister, Carole Landreth Arledge (Charlie) of Demopolis, AL; and sister-in-law Nancy Landreth of Woodstock, GA. To honor her life, Dr. Danny Wood will conduct a funeral service Friday, Feb 27th at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, 2017 Columbiana Road, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 in the Conference Center at 3:00 PM. A graveside service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery will immediately follow. Visitation will be Thursday, February 26th at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home, 195 Brooklane Dr., Hueytown, AL 35023 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.  Obituary
