From: all of us that were able to attend.

We are a rare breed indeed!

The Senior Pages of our '69 yearbook declared us a rare and mighty breed, and as I sit here thinking about all the wondrous things each of us has accomplished, and the myriad of paths we have followed in life, I see that that statement from 1969 was more of a prophecy than just a lovely little quote. For we each have excelled in our own special ways, from arborists, artists, architects, antique shop owners, doctors, engineers, lawyers, geologists, insurance, musicians, professors, teachers, nurses, transportation specialists, computer wizards, human resources, caregivers, not to mention great moms and dads, the list is almost endless. I am so proud to have been a part of the BHS CLass of 1969. We drove poor Mr. Gray to tears because of our "specialness"-shall we just say precociousness poised to proceed with life? I guess there were many circles, but any fine running piece of equipment needs many wheels that mesh together to make the overall machine run in perfect harmony. I have such great memories of such a wide variety of people-many I knew well, and some , not so well, but as someone said to me recently, through things I hear from my family and dear Blacksburg friends, or fb tidbits, or this website, I feel connected to all even after forty five years. I know you will all have great fun at the reunion-for some reason, I thought it was June 21-too much end of the year excitement so I wasn't really focusing as I should have been. At any rate, you will all be in my thoughts, and know how extremely proud I am to be counted among your numbers! Love to each of you!

Please check the Message Forum. There is important information there. This is a great tool for you to respond and communicate with the committee and other classmates. It is not private, so keep that in mind.

If there are any name changes or misspellings please let me know at: avrobin2@gmail.com  and I will gladly fix them.  I will also try to help if you have any questions, so feel free to ask!
