Donna Jeanenne West Swanson Corn

Donna was born to Harold Rudolph "Rudy" West and Wanda Pagel West in Cherokee County, Georgia on November 23, 1953. Being the youngest of the family she had an older brother Kenneth West of Blairsville, Union county. She went to Elementry, Middle and High Schools in Blairsville and Young Harris College in Young Harris, Towns County, Georgia. At the age of nineteen she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes. After radiation she was declared cancer free and sent on to live her life. She married Kenneth Earl Swanson of Hayesville, North Carolina and mothered two boys Robert Shannon Swanson and Bradley Scott Swanson. Both still live in Hayesville. she was assiciated with and worked in the family newspaper business. The North Georgia News in Blairsville. she was also a partner in the Blairsville Printing company at the same location. She later divorced, and on October 19, 1994, she married William H. Corn of blairsville. She was beginning to enjoy life again, when she got the bad news in about 1998 that she had Hodgkins Disease again. After many treatments, she just could not go any farther on this earth and went to be with her savior on January 4, 2004.
