Wow! What a guy. I was reminded of Dave's passing recently by a mutual friend.  Perhaps last year she told me that Dave was very sick. Our prayers and best wishes to his family and all the survivors of him. I do not think that I saw much of Dave since our graduation in 1989. However, from eighth grade to our senior year this man was a stud in the sense of being kind, fun, a source of joy or relief to all he came in contact with.

I believe I ran into him while they (his girlfriend at the time, a very nice classmate) were walking by my dead end street by Bryan Park. That was one of a few memories that come to mind when I think of Dave. I pray for his family, children, and posterity, and we hope that they can grow and realize how good a person he was.

I think I had math with Dave at Bachelor Middle School (Junior High). Always a gentleman; very strong and hard working, I am sure that he came from a sweet family. I am not sure nor remember of any other classes together at South. Maybe gym our freshman year? Maybe not. But he stayed a familiar and friendly presence throughout.

I believe that Dave was person of faith, and I am too. I know that God has taken this man to his realm and through our Savior we shall see each other again! Recently a friend passed away who was only 26 years-old. He reminded me of Dave. Blond, muscular, super nice, and an all around a good person.

Sorry we could not catch up sooner, my friend. Thanks for being a positive influence in my life. I am sure you had an amazing impact on countless others. Till we meet again.

[Thanks for the web page admin for including his name in this forum.]
