I received a nice note from Marilyn Epple Cook today. I hope she will be joining us soon.

I've had a few people tell me they loved my pictures of Old Bloomington/Normal. I have added some and will be adding lots more. If you had a favorite place back in the day, let me know. I just might have a picture of it.

Ron Williams has been found and he is in Bloomington. Keep helping with missing classmates. You'd be surprised what little clues will help us find someone. Joe Stith just told me that Ron lived on W. Walnut with his mom. There was only one Williams living on W. Walnut when we were in school. That led to finding Ron. Thanks Joe/Kenny.

I think this communication tool is a great way to catch up with classmates - many of whom I have completed lost track of over the last 50 years. It jogs my memory about fun things we did together - going back long before high school days - playing kick-the-can at Epple's, helping deliver the pantagraph with Marilyn - trading playing cards with neighborhood kids - running around barefoot all summer - Girl Scouts, and the mind wanders!

Thanks to everyone who has shared on their profiles.

Patti, Isn't it wonderful that you will get to see Marilyn again? This reunion isn't about who made the most money. It isn't about fame and fortune. It's about Patti and Marilyn and so many others finally taking the time out of their lives to reach out and find each other again. We all tend to say "One of these days, I will contact my old friend." Then it never happens and you regret it in the future. This is that time. Make your plans to attend. You will love it and cherish this gathering for years to come.

You may be surprised to hear this but I have never been to one of my own reunions. It was for many bad reasons. Gained too much weight. Didn't want to see who would show up in a mink coat. Lost my hair. (laugh). Yet every time we had one, I found myself curious to know what I missed. I WAS WRONG! If this will be your first, you will find that you missed so much in the past. Take advantage this time. This is the biggest reunion this class will have. 50 years is a long time. Sure there will be some in the future but not like this. Do yourself a favor, make this a priority. We want you.

We have made a change on the menu board. Aegis and Sports are now both under Aegis and More. That is an area where anyone can post, load pictures, and comment on things already posted in there. Have fun with it and also chat on the Message Board. It can be fun.

The information for reserving hotel rooms for the 50th Reunion went out in email this morning. If you have any questions, ask them on this forum so everyone can see the answers. It's getting close. :-)

It looks like we have found Terry Murch and Ted Campbell. Keep the clues coming. They do help. Also I would advise you NOT to call Jim Vessell. He isn't interested. :)

This is a message from Stephen Ringler:

The BHS Class of '62 was the first class to go all three years at the new high school giving us bragging rights as "The first fully attended class of the modern BHS era."
We also boast being the creators of the modern/current official BHS emblem seen above, selected and voted on by the 1962 Student Council. Happy 50th all around! -Stephen Ringler..
