Jim died in October of 2010 of lung cancer.

James Ward Sailer of Lesterville, Missouri, son of the late Gertrude McNulty Sailer and John Anthony Sailer was born at Sioux City, Iowa, on March 26, 1945. He departed this life at his residence in Lesterville, on December 10, 2010, having attained the age of 65 years, eight months and 14 days.

James was a retired structural engineer for a steel company. He was of the Catholic Faith. He loved welding ornamental iron and building extremely unique homes. James assisted in building the Biosphere Development Corporation. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

James is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Gardiner and husband William Gardiner III of Orlando, Florida, one brother, Robert Sailer of North Dakota, and one sister, Stephanie Reining of Olympia, Washington. James will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
