We learned of Jack's death in a note received July 2 from his sister Sharon Bretto of Rochester, MN. "Sorry to inform you, Jack is deceased at age 67 from cancer." He died March 9, 2013. He was a resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Received the following note from Jack's sister today (July 30, 2013):
thank you for the note. I apologize for the late reply. Jack joined the Marines right out of high school and went to Vietnam . he served for 4 years. when he came home he joined the Minneapolis Police Department and was an officer for 26 years . he then retired and moved to Florida. there will be an a obituary in the Minneapolis Star Tribune this coming sunday August 4th. A memorial at Nyes in ne mpls on sat 8/24.
