Following is a letter written by Barb which was read at her memorial service.

Thank You & A Message from Barb

Thank You All that were able to attend today's service.  It was wonderful to meet some of you for the first time and also to see some of you for the first time in many years. The place was filled with LOVE, and that is just how she would want it. For anyone that was not able to attend, I wanted to post a letter that was read at the service written by Barb...

My Dear Family & Friends,

I want to thank you for your love and support. Each card, visit, phone call or text. Everyone kept saying how strong I was, but that's not true. The truth is, "When I am weak then He is strong".

I consider each of you as a great gift from our Lord Jesus. He's been in charge this whole time! I thanked God everyday for my cancer, because of the people that I have met, my family and friends, and the things that I have learned. A true gift!!

I pray that each of you get a gift from me as well! Take that gift and pay it forward. With a touch, a smile or listening ears. Little things mean a lot!!!

Every day there seemed to be a miracle. Every day and night were different. I could wake up feeling terrific and within two hours, I'd be asleep and sleep all day. I would hear from just the right person at just the right time. Some days I couldn't sleep but could sit here all day and knit. Some days all I could do was lay here and pray for all those who were paying for me.

I've known some of you for all my life, some of you for only a little while. Each of you has played an important part of my life. I am not perfect, we all know, but for some reason, God has used you to teach me. You may not even know how you've touched me or that you even did, but trust me you did. Sometimes, I couldn't even express my Thanks to you.

I love you all so very much. May He pour out His blessings to each of you.

Barb

Dear, dear friend Barb,

It was a beautiful day for your memorial service in a beautiful church in Edina.  There were numerous high school classmates and friends who gathered after at the church and later at your mom's home in Bloomington for food and reminiscing.  You are definitely loved by many and will be forever missed by all.
