I attended Ron's funeral. It was an emotional experience for me.
I didn't know him well in h.s., but do recall with the same sense of
disgust that I felt then that he was ridiculed for one reason or another.
When I read his obit. and saw his effervescent smile, I knew that although he had experienced disappointments and illness, his life was not empty.
He had two very special caregivers (cousin and his wife) who looked out for him and gave him a lot of attention and love. I feel good that Ron seems to have had what he needed. I hope that when he reflected on his years in the Boardman system he felt some sense of belonging. He did, indeed, belong...
I am deeply sad to have learned of Rons death.I had no idea.I visited him often, either at his parents or in the veterns home.He indeed had his tough times. Many times I would visit his parents, just to give them some sort of support. He will be in my prayers
