John was known as one of "the hoods"...a kind of "laughing matter" as we look back at those years! He was often in the company of Tom Bierdeman, Gary Nicholson, etc...I remember once in the hallway of our beloved OLD HIGH SCHOOL(!) that these three characters were harassing/intimidating Michael Orgel as he walked down the hallway...Mike saw me at my locker and immediately gravitated to my side...I looked at John, Tom and Gary and laughingly chided "come on you guys - leave him alone!"...they laughed back and smiled and continued down the hall...Mike was thankful...
John often had that snide smile on his face...he loved to joke and "kid around", he loved to harass, he was a "scrapper" and a fighter - if need be...I liked him...he had a unique personality and interesting brothers...
WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM - does anyone know?
