George Stefko, 42, shoots and kills his 17-year-old adopted daughter, Faith, at their home at 7942 South Ave., Boardman, and then kills himself.
This beautiful girl was taken from this world much too soon. I hope that you have found your reward in heaven Faith. You certainly deserve it. May you always rest in peace.
I won't forget that day either. she was a nice girl and I never heard her say anything nasty about anyone. I never realized how controlling her dad was. I do remember going to her funeral. she dad was laid out in the room next to hers. It was closed off. Her poor Mom, you could tell she didn't know what to do. She had a sister named Hope. she was adopted too. I don't remember if she had a brother or not.

It must have been hard to sit in the FRONT seat in 7th grade history class when you are a loner/alone/ teenager.Especially a teenager that is living in pure fear/hell.Hiding, or hoping to hide?
It must have been hard to wear long dresses when the rest of us were just worried about the color of our pantyhose, whatever.Thank-God we didn't treat our classmates as badly as they are treated today.I do not remember anyone making fun of her, just looking(not staring) at her when she came in the room.
It must have been hard to face all of us everyday, every minute when most of us were just going our ways and doing our thing. And there she was alone, different, beautiful.
We weren't at fault, we didn't know the signs of abuse.
What about the school board?
We all know she was a true beauty.
I guess she had a higher purpose.
