John was a good friend...he was always "Ivy League-ish"...and...when calling their home (758-5473!) on South Cadillac drive, John or Brother Jeff always were "well trained" by their parents: "Wilkie's residence, John speaking...how may I help you please"?!? Aaaaahhhhh the Cleaver's (MINUS The Beav!)...
John and I were on the BHS quite successful (#1 in Ohio!) speech time under Mr. Dykens - John was GREAT at debate...we discussed Vietnam, racial problems, economy, etc...John also had a unique backing in, reverse side-to-side, fading jump shot on the basketball court which was very successful as well...
He was a good man...WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM - does anybody know?!?
I did not know John well..... maybe just to say "Hi" in the hall.I guess the memorable thing about him was ha always seemed much more"Grown up"(aka-MATURE) than a lot of us,almost could have passed as a teacher!
After reading Greggs'tribute I understand why now!
