Debbie Ann Zetts Dalrymple, 46, a longtime resident of Williamsburg, VA, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2009.
Debbie is a graduate of Youngstown State University in Ohio and earned her Masters Degree from East Carolina University in North Carolina. She was formerly employed by Kent State University and East Carolina University Medical School researching the brain with an emphasis on the hippocampus. She was currently employed as an adjunct professor at Thomas Nelson Community College.
Debbie was an active member in the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday School Superintendent and assisted with Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the P.T.A. and developed the Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School yearbook for the past three years. She was a member of the Science & Technology board of the James City County School System. She was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. She was involved at the Institute of Dance and loved helping children. She enjoyed her time with her friends at book club. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter, dedicating her life to her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Chuck; and loving daughters Deanna and Cayla; and her mother, Fran Zetts. Debbie truly was a gift from God to her family and the many lives that she touched.
The family will receive friends at the Nelsen Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5 at 1:00 PM at Williamsburg United Methodist Church 500 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA. Interment will be at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made in Debbie’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital.
