Beth Mays Nixon

Since graduation, I married Blake Nixon in Aug 1990 and graduated from nursing school in 1993. I have worked at Marshall Medical Center South for the last 15 years. I currently work prn in the operating room and I took a leap from MMCS this year to accept a teaching job at Marshall Technical School. I teach Medical Prep, which is a Health Science class for students interested in the medical field. The tech school is very different from what we once knew it as growing up. I really love teaching and I feel this is were God has led me. It's really a great place to work.

Blake and I have three boys. They bounce off the walls daily, they are very destructive (like most are) and full of testosterone!!! I would not have it any other way. I know now why God gave me boys. We did loose a baby girl June 2005, a miscarriage in the second trimester. Mary Catherine is our little angel in heaven....she is missed everyday!! Evan and Matthew started tackle football this year for Boaz. They love it....Evan played QB and Matthew played CB and WR. Griffin, the baby, is in the terrible two's but he is so sweet.

Robin, Melina, and myself still try to make time for our girls night out at the local Los Arcos. I go to church with Pam (Bankston) and Scott Sanders, Sonya Murdock, Kendra McKinney, and Christy Hancock, so I still get to keep in touch with some. I do talk with Trina through email. Evan had Kendra McKinney Harvey as a first grade teacher and Amy Foxx Graves as a second grade teacher....they both are wonderful teachers!!!!

I love this website...I think it's a great way for friendships to reconnect! I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion...I am soooo excited!!!!
