Mary Elizabeth Gamble

Mary Elizabeth Gamble

Mary E. Gamble, age 71, of Brick peacefully, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.  Born in Hackensack, NJ, she lived in Maywood prior to moving to Brick 11 years ago.

Mary’s passion for all animals, especially dogs, led her into the field of dog and animal grooming for Pampered and Maywood Pets, as well as the “NJAWR” New Jersey Association of Wildlife Rehabilitators. Mary rehabilitated several raccoons and she won 1st place in a grooming competition @ Madison Square Garden. She also owned and showed her German Shepherds for several years. Her love for nature and adventure brought her to exploring and camping with her dogs. Owls were one of her greatest admirations.

Mary sang in her church choir at Our Lady Queen of Peace of Maywood and with the Paul Smith Singers Choir in Bergen County, which also led her to adventure in traveling to Europe.  Besides loving nature and animals, Mary did everything from the heart. She would make the best Veggie soup and it wasn’t served until perfection was achieved. She would partake in all kinds of puzzles, daily. If there was ever a situation where something needed to be figured out, Mary was the “Go To”.

Her radiant smile and heartfelt personality touched the hearts of everyone she met. It is believed by many that she has earned her “Angel Wings”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul, and Virginia (Birks) Gamble and her sister Helen Gamble. She is survived by her Aunt Barbara Hill of Brick; and her cousins Charles Marra of Michigan, Joseph Marra of Barnegat, and Sharon Mahana and Sondra Mahana, both of Brick.
