Robert McGuire VIEW PROFILE

Robert McGuire

The following information was provided by Bob's wife, Annie:

I am very sad to inform you that Bob passed away on Sept. 29. This was sudden and shocking. He suffered a Cardiac Dissection which in other words his aorta burst. The blood leaked into his spinal column and paralyzed him. He was operated on but the damage was just too great and they couldn't save him. Even if he had survived he would have been paralyzed permanently. The surgeon said there is no way this could have been detected by any testing. It's just one of those things that happened. Honestly, it all just sucks!

Thank you for passing on this information. There will be no traditional funeral. He didn't want one. We are having a Celebration of Life on Nov. 2, in the afternoon here in Lebanon. Anyone is welcome to come. We will be having another celebration, date to be determined, up in the Seattle area. When we decide on a date, I will let you know.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered as a joker and silver tongued bullshitter. He will be greatly missed.

Annie

I'm sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I didn't know Bob real well, but remember him as funny, and fun to be around. My condolences to all of you. Kathy Kaysner Buck

I am deeply  saddened by Bob's death. We were in PE with his remarkable father as a teacher! He was a funny and lively classmate, full of projects and plans for his life. My sincere thoughts to his family and close friends.

Like Kathy Kaysner Buck, I don’t remember Bob well, but in my hazy memory he was a bright spot of laughter and fun, a sprite-like figure helping us all find the lighter side of high school. Condolences to his family.

I remember Bob from my classes. He was funny and a bit of a goof off but he had a wonderful heart and never tried to put others down. I'm glad he had a wonderful family and life. I'm sad he's gone
