We miss you Chad!  Chad always made me laugh in high school.  We had Mr. Crook for Chemistry together and I was frequently late because I had choir before science and Miss M often made us finish the song we were singing before we were excused...so, eventually Mr. Crook sent me to ISS for tardies.  Chad never let me live it down and teased me constantly.  Every time he'd see me he'd say "ISS HOLT!!!"  Chad was such an upbeat, funny guy, just so fun to be with.  My heart aches for his darling wife and twins he had to leave behind.  His funeral was a beautiful tribute to the great man he was during his life here!  He fought a good fight!!!  Thanks for the memories Chad!

Love,

Wendy

Chad was the kind of person that people wanted to be around.  He made you laugh and you could always count on having a good time when you were with him.  People were drawn to him.

I ran into Chad in 2005 at a Relay for Life Event in Layton Utah.  At the time, he was working for the Lab Company that did cancer research and testing.  He was attending this event representing them and handing out freebies.  We were surprised to run into each other and quickly did some "catching up."  I was running in the relay with a friend and her family.  Both of us were current survivors and had recently finished our treatment for different types of cancers.  Chad was shocked to hear of my diagnoses.  He listened and was empathetic.  Then, about a year after, I remember hearing about Chad's own diagnosis with cancer.  It was difficult to believe.  I knew that Chad would be a fighter. . .

I feel fortunate to have known Chad and to have been able to reconnect with him again after High School.  He was an amazing father and husband and he continues to be someone that I admire.
