Doris Helen Porter passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home in Crofton, Maryland. She was born April 19, 1960 in New York City to Allen and Stefanie (Richter) Brother. She was a 1978 graduate of Bowie Senior High School and attended UMBC. She lived her life in the Bowie - Crofton area. Doris was kind, compassionate and loving. Those who knew her will miss her easy smile and sense of humor. She is survived by her brother, Garry, niece Melanie Las Brother, nephew Charles Michael Brother, step-father Jesse Carver Ricketson and step-siblings Steven and Julie Ames Ricketson. Family, friends and others whose lives Doris touched are invited to attend a memorial service from 3pm - 5pm on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD 20715. –
