George David Carpenter, 63, of King George passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Inova Loudon Hospital.
David’s working career was in the HVAC industry lastly working for W. E. Bowers and Associates. He was a member of Steamfitters Local Union 602. His hobbies included being a civil war buff hunting for relics and following the war’s history, boating and an avid fisherman. David was a passionate dog lover taking in a myriad of furry friends over the years lastly sharing his life with a Swedish Schiller Hound named Zoe he adopted from King George Animal Shelter. David was a devoted member at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in King George, VA and served as an Usher.
Survivors include his siblings Terrence Sunstone and Scott Carpenter; nephew Jake Carpenter; and sister-in-law Elaine Sunstone. He was preceded in death by his father, George Beach Carpenter; and mother Mabel Edelen Muller.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Mission Catholic Church, King George, VA. Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park.
