James (Jimmy) Casper, son of Elias and Evelyn Casper of Bowie, Maryland, passed away on September 10, 2015. Jimmy was born in Utica, NY, on May 20, 1960. Jimmy was raised in Bowie, Maryland, and was a graduate of Bowie High School. He was a talented hairdresser and former proprietor of Jimmi James Hair Salon. Jimmy developed fond relationships and made many customers happy through his craft. In his early life, Jimmy had many talents and was a gifted musician. He loved many genres of music. Jimmy is survived by his parents; his siblings and their spouses, Laura Adkins, Doreen and Don Hopper, Robert and Penny Casper, and Steven and Nicole Casper; his nieces and nephews and their spouses, Marcus and Jenny Alphin, Brett and Yunmi Alphin, Lindsay, Michael and Erica Hopper, and Grace, Tess and Jack Casper; and many wonderful uncles, aunts and cousins in Utica and New Hartford, NY. He was predeceased by brother-in-law, Cary Adkins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum.
