Found this in the Brainerd Daily Dispatch. I went to grade school with Shawn. He used to ride the shuttle bus with me, Julie, and Kelli. Even though the three of us sat together, he still tried to sit in our seat with us. He was a great kid and will be deeply missed.

NISSWA -- Shawn Patrick Paumen, age 33, resident of Nisswa, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. He was born Sept. 21, 1970, in Buffalo, Minn., to Patrick and Sandra (Gunnerson) Paumen. He married Christine Bellefeuille Sept. 27, 1997, in Brainerd. Survivors include his wife, Christine; parents Patrick and Sandra Paumen of Baxter; brother Todd Paumen of North Carolina; grandparents Rodney and Eleanor Gunnerson and Anne Paumen; niece Kayla Bellefeuille; nephew Devan McDonald. Preceded in death by grandfather, Jerome Paumen. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at St. Franics Catholic Church with Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Lake Edwards Cemetery. Visitation times are Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Arrangements by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
