Married right out of college (Boston Univ.); taught high school while my husband was at Cornell Law School and in Hanover when sons were young; then had rich career, representing global companies, retiring as SVP and Chief Administrative Officer. After that, played for awhile with a dot com. Very fun! Here's a heartstopper: On 9/11 I did not board my weekly early morning United flight from Boston to the west coast. The near-miss still takes my breath away . . . .
On a lighter note, I'm noticing that it takes forever when I want my golf handicap to go DOWN, but only a heartbeat for my fear to ratchet UP as I watch 5- and 7-year old grandkids tearing down black diamonds on Cannon. I guess that's why for both of these sports there are handy bar stools for people who need to exhale!
We are still rooted in New England. Our sons and families are in Needham and South Natick, so that's where we are for holidays. And we head north every summer to Balch Lake in Maine, where we boat back and forth between my twin's house and ours. I mention that because many of you knew Bob Fink, who lived in Braintree until his death in March 2013, leaving a huge hole in my universe, as you can imagine.
