Warren E. Blackburn, 59, of Onset, died Sunday, Dec. 24th, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.
Born in Weymouth, he was the son of Sylvia (Tapp) Fuller of Tampa, FL and the late Gerald Blackburn. A graduate of Braintree High School, he moved to Onset 14 years ago.
Warren worked as a boat builder at Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham for 12 years.
He also enjoyed flying and held his private pilots license. A musician, he played organ, piano and guitar. He was a member of The Rocking Ramrods and played at The Surf at Nantasket Beach.
Warren served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Town River Yacht Club in Quincy.
Survivors include his long-time companion, Millie Flannery of Onset; his mother, Sylvia Fuller of Tampa, FL; a daughter, Melissa Blackburn and a son, Christopher Blackburn, both of Braintree; two brothers, Barry Blackburn and Keith Blackburn, both of Tampa, FL; and a devoted friend, Carmel O'Brien of Seabrook, NH.
. Interment was in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
