Lois Ann Athanasiou (Norris) of Norwell, passed away on April 27, 2023 at the age of 75. 

Born in Boston, raised in Braintree. Lois graduated from Braintree High School in 1965 and received a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University in Boston. She worked for Raytheon for 35 years.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, Arthur G. Athanasiou. Loving mother of Matthew and his wife Farran of Hanover, Wayne, and Scott and his wife Marissa all of Norwell. Beloved YaYa to Alex and Artie. Sister of Susan MacDonald and her husband Michael and the late brother John Norris. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lois was an active member of the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church of Cohasset, making many great friends and memories over the years. She was also an active member of the Norwell Garden Club and the Bonsai Study Group. Lois had a passion for plants of many varieties, but specialized in Bonsai. You could find her at many flower shows and nurseries around the country. 

Although Lois had been retired for many years, she stayed busy with her two dogs Belle and Lacey along with all her activities. Whether it was her garden clubs, the YMCA or volunteering at many places around the south shore. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandkids doing crafts and teaching them to plant and bake.
