Linda LeGrand (Joyce)

 

Linda A. LeGrand (Joyce) was born in Medford, MA, on July 14, 1947. She died on December 25, 2004, following a 10 year battle with breast cancer. Educated in Braintree and a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1965. She received her Associates Degree from Aquinas College and her Bachelors Degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. Ms. Joyce had worked for DePuy Acro Med as Manager of Customer Services under the division of Johnson and Johnson. She was the active Rector for retreats for confirmation girls at Holy Family Church in Duxbury. She ran the Falmouth Road Race and participated in the Avon 60 mile 3-day Walk for Breast Cancer. She was a summer resident in New Silver Beach, Falmouth, for many years. Her hobbies included cooking, running, traveling and driving her Jeep.

Linda was the loving mother of Richard "Chad" Joyce, Jr. of Kingston and Patricia M. Joyce of Quincy, MA. Beloved daughter of the late Margaret A. (Curran) LeGrand and the late James H. LeGrand. Cherished sister of James "Jimmy" LeGrand of Carver, Joseph E. LeGrand of Braintree, Margie Stafford of Plymouth and Patricia M. LeGrand of Waban. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, John and Jay R. LeGrand, and 2 sisters, Mary and Alice LeGrand. Internment at Duxbury Cemetery, Duxbury, MA.

I grew up with Linda....went from Ross Elementary School to East Jr. to BHS.   She was, as we used to say back then, "a good kid".  May she rest in peace.

Gerard Lawton

I went to EJS and BHS with Linda. She was bright, witty, and always had a smile. I can see why she'd be a manager of customer service.  Rest in peace classmate.
