Helen C. MacGillivray, of Braintree passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the age of 71, following a long and valiant battle with COPD. Helen was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada and moved here to Massachusetts with her then ten brothers and sisters in December of 1952 and graduated from Braintree High School in 1965. She spent much of her career in retail sales. Mother of Michelle Ardizzoni and her husband Joseph F., Jr., of Wilmington and Paul DeWolfe of Plainville. Grandmother of Anna and Dominic Ardizzoni both of Wilmington. Helen was predeceased by an infant daughter named Mary Margaret DeWolfe. She was also predeceased by longtime companion Joseph Bidorini. Beloved sister of James MacGillivray and his wife Brenda of Halifax, Dennis MacGillivray and his wife Karen of Tyngsboro, John F. MacGillivray, and his wife Gloria of Hingham, Michael MacGillivary of Fla., Joanne MacGillivary Donovan of N.J., Judy Bellanger and her husband Robert of Braintee, Rosemary M. Cronin of Marblehead, M. Leone MacGillivray of Braintee and J. Louise MacGillivray of Braintree. Sister in law of Kathy MacGillivray of N.C. Helen was predeceased by brothers C. Joseph and Leonard MacGillivray and brothers in law Charles A. Donovan and David M. Cronin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
