To The Class of '89

TO THE CLASS OF ‘89

The time has finally come,
   Graduation Day is here.
Some will a shout of joy,
and some will shed a tear.
We’ve struggles through some hard times,
   but were never left alone.
There was always someone there to help,
when a troubled heart was known.
We must have had a million classes,
   some boring others fun.
We think back to the years behind us,
and look forward to the lives we’ve begun.
Anxious to find out what the future holds,
   We gather hand-n-hand.
Each one looks into another’s eyes,
   And there we quietly stand.
With every face there is a memory,
   of something good or bad.
No matter what the thought may be,
   You feel a little sad.
We know in our hearts that for some,
it’s the last time we’ll meet.
But we are assured that the past and the future
   will never compete.
We wipe away the tears,
   and hold our heads high.
This should be a happy day,
   with no time to cry.
If we’ve learned nothing more,
   we’ve learned how to care.
It will be something we can
   always use and share.
There’s a lot waiting out there,
   and it’s all for us.
So do the best with what you have,
   and don’t make a fuss.
Good luck to you all-
   “The class of “89!”
Live life to the fullest,
   I’m sure you’ll do fine.
