Hey guys,

We just have a couple more weeks until we stop collecting for Willy's care package. Remember Greer insurance is the drop-off location or get a hold of me and I'll meet ya somewhere. Thanks class of '94 for pulling together for this.

I talked to Cory Dawson at the ballpark the other day and he told me about the site. This is "da bomb"(is it still cool to say that?) I will do my part to get the word out. Hey Tina, is it too late for Willy's care package?

Just like Josh I heard about the site from Corey. All our boys are on the same T-ball team. Go Orioles! It is really amazing to read all the happenings in everyones life.

Hey guys! It's not too late to send in stuff for Willy. The deadline is June 6th. I will collect the items Barrett has at Greer Ins. and will send everything off that weekend. Don't wait until the last minute, drop off something while you're out in town sometime. Remember magazines and prepackaged food are a great idea. Send some love to Willy...that red-headed freckled fool!

I guess everyone knows that the Executive Inn in Owensboro has closed. If anyone has anymore ideas please let me know.
It seems about 75% of the class so far wants to go to a hotel. If anyone has any more suggestions dont be shy lets hear them. Thanks, Steven Redmon

What about caesars or someplace in louisville(hyatt?). Just throwing some stuff out there to get the conversation going. Doesn't really matter as long as there is beer and a place to sleep (pass out).

Ceasar's sounds like a good idea. If I can think of any other ideas, I'll post 'em.

Okay, I thought of something... what about Rough River? They have a lodge for sleeping (passing out) and have facilities for hosting events. Just a thought!

Rough River sounds fun. What do you think Steven?

I have had that suggestion about rough and A lot of people think its to small. I havent checked into yet but I will.

I was thinking of Rough River also. I know they've got a room big enough to accomodate us and they should have enough room between the lodge, cabins and campground over the hill at the bottom of the dam.

Cabins and/or campgrounds would be a hell of a place for an afterparty!!

Alright, here's the skinny on Rough River (no pricing, sorry).

They have 40 Lodge rooms, most have double beds (at least 40 couples), 17 Cabins, all are two bedroom (34 couples if all are willing to split a cabin) and 64 campground sites for those who wouldn't mind camping. Also might want to consider that some might not want to stay and would drive home afterwards.

They have several conference rooms, the largest being 4000 sq ft and can accomodate groups as large as 400-500.

Also have the golf course right there for those who might want to get together and play a round the afternoon of the reunion, not to mention access to the lake for any boaters.

I like this idea, but have no idea on price or budget.

Here is the run down on Rough River. It will cost about $40 dollars per person. Dinner will be provided. It will be a buffet with choice of two meats, 3 vegetables, and desert. Lots of stuff to choose from. You can bring your own beer, wine, liquor, etc. It stays open until 1am central time. There is a par 3 golf course if anyone is interested. There
is also Lafyette golf course about 5 miles away which is an awesome course. If anyone is interested in playing Saturday morning let me know. They have lodging for approx. 89.00 a night. They have rooms and cabins. Cabins are a little more expensive. The rooms are up to you. THEY ARE NOT PROVIDED. Anyone have any input on this let me know. It sounds like a good time and its close. Thanks, Steven

Just to let everyone know. My 6 year old son, Trevor, wrote a letter to Willy which we included with our items for the care package. He just got back a really nice return letter. Willy also included a couple of keepsakes for him from Iraq. I thought it was a pretty cool. I'm sure he enjoyed all the items that everyone sent.
