Quick question for anyone in the know. I've been emailing Casey and had asked about a couple of Bed and Breakfasts in Brazil - the McGregor and the McKinley Houses - does anyone know anything about these two? The Howard Johnson at I-70 had very scary reviews so it looks like the best place to stay for the gathering Friday and the reunion will be one of the B&B's. The reviews look like both B&B's are clean and nice but wasn't sure. With my family no longer living or in the immediate area (and I've not been in Brazil since our 20 year reunion) I wasn't sure of where to stay? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Also - any females planning on playing golf? It would be fun!

Linda - thank you for the quick response. I did email the McKinley House and they quickly replied and advised they had availability. Apparently it is way out Hwy 40 past Harmony so it should be easy to find just a bit of a drive to get there. Cozette said the McGregor's owners are on vacation but should be back next week. This would certainly be closer to the reunion. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

I will not be able to attend this weekend. I will be in NYC for the weekend. Here is what I have as my responsibility:

1) Bring ipod loaded with 80s music (speakers will be provided)
2) I will also bring my computer and LCD projector to share a power point of the photos that I receive online at wilt77@mac.com -- NOTE - I will need a screen and a power strip/extension cord.
3) I have reserved and will pre-pay the shelter fee at the park for Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend(shelter #12). Bring your families, lawn chairs and food to feed your own family. I should be there from 10:30 - 2:30. Feel free to arrive and depart at your leisure.

I think that is all I have volunteered to do, but let me know if my name is one anything else.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

We are getting together at Cozette Boyd's home on that Friday evening. I need to e-mail her to set-up some specifics about what time she is ok with to start. There are two fire pits, horseshoe pits, a pond, volleyball net, etc. Would be fun just to get together. Bring you cooler with drinks and some chips or a side dish. We are talking about hot dogs and hamburgers being provided. I will e-mail Cozette and then set an RSVP date probably for a few days before that Friday to get some sort of final count for the food. It will probably start around 6:30ish!

Susan - sorry but we forgot to inform you that we went ahead and hired a DJ for the music. There was a class survey on the website and it was posted on the home page that the majority had voted that they wanted a DJ for music. Since we've had $$$ donations to the account and the money's there, we decided to go with the voice of our classmates. I hope someone's ready to dance!!

Reservation money is beginning to roll in but I've only received from 14 classmates to date, 6 of those coming in today's mail. Reminder - we requested that we would like to receive reservation money by 7/18 which is only 2 days away. If for some reason you cannot get it to us by 7/25 but plan on attending, please let me know. That's the last week before the reunion and we will need to give a head count to the caterer. I am posting this on Saturday July 19 and have not had access to my e-mail for four days so if I miss something or somebody I will correct it Monday when I get back to my work e-mail. I have reserved tee times for three four-somes at the Brazil City golf course in the Park beginning at 8:30 am on Saturday August 2. From memory those wanting to play golf are myself, Tom Pflueger, Harry Dressler, Susan Wilt's husband,Jeff Anderson, and Fritz Oehler. I think there may be one or two more but there is some room to add more golfers. Please e-mail me or post a message on the website by the end of this week so we can get that firmed up. Also, as stated in an earlier post, we are planning a get together for everyone on Friday evening, August 1, at Cozette Boyd's home. Let's set a target date to RSVP to me by Tuesday July 29 if you and a guest (Spouse) plan on attending. It should be fun and another great chance just to get together and hang out for a few hours. It should be a great weekend and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.

A few of us met today to wrap up the reunion plans. To date, there are 52 classmates that have posted they will be attending the reunion on their profile and I have received reservation payments from 22. I also mailed out 35 more letters to some classmates that do not have a profile. There's also several that I have no address for; I received very little response from placing names in The Brazil Times.
