In Memory

Ricky Tyler

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
I feel you everywhere I go
I see your smile, I see your face
I hear you laughin' in the rain
Still can't believe you're gone.

It ain't fair you died too young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I been through
Just knowin' no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder
Who you'd be today.

Would you see the world, would you chase your dreams
Settle down with a family
I wonder what would you name your babies
Somedays the sky's so blue
I feel like I can talk to you
And I know it might sound crazy.

It ain't fair you died too young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I been through
Just knowin' no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder
Who you'd be today.

Today, today, today
Today, today, today.

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
The only thing that gives me hope
Is I know I'll see you again some day
Someday, someday...

It seems only yesterday that we were back in high school when we heard the horible news about Ricky. He was a kind gentle person who loved life and had a plan for his life. But, as we all know, God had another plan for him, and he is at peace now. We still miss you Ricky...

Rick was one of the funniest guys in school. If you knew him you loved that about him. He did not have a mean thing to say about anyone. When I heard the news about him I refused to believe it. He will never be forgotten.

When it comes to Ricky, I have to echo Raymond's sentiments. Ricky never had a problem with, or said anything negative about anyone. He was funny and always upbeat. We played basketball together and he always had us laughing. His death was tragic. It hit us at a time when we were young and never thought of death. I will never forget when I heard about his tragic death. I was in total shock. May God give him rest and his family peace.

I sat beside Ricky in homeroom our sr. yr., when I heard the news on T.V. I was in shock, going to school on mon. morning was hard, knowing that he wouldn't be sitting there. He was truly one of the good guys, you could always count on him,he will never be forgotten.
