There is way too much to list, but... I did move on to UCLA (Abingdon campus) and then on to ETSU. I made it to the last semster of my senior year and decided I didn't like my chosen path. Long story short, I basically started all over again and finished at VI. I later started working on my Master's, but stopped when my daugther was born. New priorities!
I currently work as a Project Manager in the drug research world.
I have had a lot of cool jobs that have allowed me alot of great opportunities. I have worked in healthcare, the legal world, politics, and now in drugs (the legal variety)! Ironically...my first job was in a drugstore and I migrated back there. My most important job started in 2005, though when I became MOM! During the last 20 years I have had alot of fun doing alot of awesome things, traveling and meeting some very interesting people. I spent alot of time wanting to leave little 'ol Bristol, but when I started traveling with my job, I realized that I was fortunate to live in this area. It's beautiful, laid back and the traffic isn't so bad, either. There's no place like home, Toto.
Unfortunately, I didn't really stay in close contact with many of our classmates, but have seen many in passing through the years. Kathy Millard and I have stayed in close contact through the years and talk at least once per week.
I have been truly blessed in my life. I have done some really outrageous things that I probably wouldn't dare do, now....but don't have many regrets.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the reunion.
First day of school in 8th grade, I walked into the cafeteria and saw Don Pridemore (I went to school with his daughter Tina several years before moving back to the county). The first comment out of his mouth was "well there is little Fig Newton"...and well the rest is history.
Remember the white Ford Escort? The Figgy mobile? I had a group of girls in the car with me and we went for an unscheduled detour over a small bank on a rainy day (behind what used to be Kerns Bakery) and the chain of events thereafter were quite comical with trying to get that car out of the ditch. We did manage to get out, but the car looked like we had been 4-wheelin' and was covered in mud. You couldn't even see out of the windsheild. I can't remember who all was with me, but it seems like it was Tracy Dalton was with me, but I can't remember who the others were.
