Kevin "Michael" Swan was born on February 9, 1970 in Amarillo, Texas to David and Mary Sue Swan. The family relocated to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1973. Michael completed all of his schooling in Broken Arrow. He went to TJC and Spartan with a degree in communications and electronics. Michael worked for Mac Systems of Tulsa.
Michael was a BA Boy, who dearly loved Broken Arrow and the Tulsa area. He was a proud alumni of The Pride of Broken Arrow. Michael never met a stranger and was a real people person. Everyone loved Michael. He lived life to the fullest and adored his family and friends. Michael loved music and making tapes with his family. He dearly loved the holidays, his boat, jet ski, Harley, his Bronco, his cat Moo Moo and his home. He loved to trout fish and go to the trailer at Roaring River. He loved to hunt. Michael had a beautiful singing voice. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow and a servant Christian. He always helped everyone and took great care of his Mom and Dad.
He is survived by: parents, Dave and Sue Swan; brother: Steve Swan and his wife Janet and their son, David; sister: Michelle Wamsley and her husband Paul and their son, Drake; lifelong friends: Clint Mitchell, Matt Dulaney, Beau Pratt and Jerry Shellenbarger.
Michael is now at home with his Lord and with his Granny and Grandad. Michael was a shining light in our lives that will never go out. May all of our memories grow sweeter and our sadness grow dimmer. We will forever miss him until one day we are reunited. Michael, we will love you forever. Dear God, take care of our precious boy and sustain his family and friends to carry on his loving legacy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 3:00 PM at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the family receiving guests from 6:00 - 8:00 at Floral Haven.

I was in Cubscouts/Boyscouts & went through 3rd, 4th & 5th grade with Michael. He was a close friend. He was very kind when my father passed back in 5th grade. We had lost touch when the schools split (North/South, etc). It was a great pleasure some time ago seeing him working at Goldies back in highschool. After 3-4 years it was as if we'd seen each other on a daily basis. Thats the kind of guy he was. A great friend & man.

Michael was one of my good friends in my neighborhood. He lived around the corner from me and we played quite a bit. I remember riding bikes together and laughing and I remember him sitting behind me in first grade and pulling my ponytail and stealing my Brownie Beanie. I pretended to hate it but I didn't. We were in the Pride together and although we didn't really hang out he was always such a sweet guy. I do remember his great smile. I have thought of Michael so often over the last 20 years. He will always be a wonderful memory! He will be missed by all who know him.

I was lucky enough to be friends with Michael in Mr. Thomas' 5th grade class at Oak Crest. Always the proverbial class clown, he could always upstage me and went out of his way to make me laugh. Some of my best memories from back then involve Michael in some way or another.
One thing I remember so much about him was his smile and kindness. Like many people do, we lost touch over the years, but there are some great memories that will never fade.
He was truly unique and I was blessed to know him. My heart goes out to his family, friends, co-workers and all those he touched over the years.

I remember Michael from elementary school through High School. Like so many people have said great infectious smile and I remember your great laugh too. I remember bumping into you a few years ago in Broken Arrow and you saw me first and we instantly reconnected as if time had never passed. I wish we had stayed in contact as you were truly a great guy and friend. You will truly be missed, RIP my friend until one day I bump into you in heaven like that day in BA as if time never passed.
